Two 2013 Masterworks concerts from the Greenville Symphony Orchestra make up this edition of the program, with the ensemble under the direction of the esteemed maestro Edvard Tchivzhel. The sound is lush and romantic from the opening ballet suite from Gounod’s operatic triumph, to Liszt’s seldom-performed symphonic poem, to Dvořák’s penultimate symphony. Then from a concert of 20th century music, there are suites from Igor Stravinsky and Gian Carlo Menotti.
