Legendary conductor Matthias Bamert leads the Brevard Music Center Orchestra in a performance of Richard Strauss's most recognizable tone poem, Also Sprach Zarathustra. Best known as the opening theme from 2001: A Space Odyssey, the work has become a favorite of both the symphonic world and pop culture. The concert also includes pianist Jean Louis Steuerman performing Mozart's beloved Piano Concerto no. 21 in C major.
