Mozart and Mahler are featured on the next Open Air Brevard! Orchestra led by Keith Lockhart performs Mozart’s ebullient “Jupiter” Symphony, and then soprano Ilana Davidson joins the ensemble for the poignant Symphony No. 4 by Mahler.

Vadym Kholodenko, the Gold Medalist of the 14th Van Cliburn International Piano Competition, visits the Blue Ridge Mountains to perform Prokofiev’s emotional 2nd Piano Concerto with the Brevard Music Center Orchestra and guest conductor Miguel Harth-Bedoya.

A living legend visits the Brevard Music Center for the next Open Air Brevard. Pianist Garrick Ohlsson performs the monumental Second Concerto by Brahms, and the Beethoven “Pastoral” Symphony is also on the program with the Brevard Music Center Orchestra led by Artistic Director Keith Lockhart.

Open Air Brevard welcomes acclaimed violinist Adele Anthony to Whittington-Pfohl Auditorium to perform the unjustly neglected Dvorak concerto with the Brevard Music Center Orchestra. There’s also music from the beginning of Stravinsky’s career and the end of Prokofiev’s.

It’s the grand season finale on this week's Open Air Brevard. Principal Guest Conductor JoAnn Falletta leads the Brevard Music Center Orchestra in Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition, and rising star Conrad Tao joins the ensemble to perform Rachmaninoff’s beloved Piano Concerto No. 2.

Principal Guest Conductor JoAnn Falletta leads the Brevard Sinfonia. The concert showcases the artist faculty with a work by composer-in-residence David Dzubay to open the program, and pianist Norman Krieger playing Mozart.

The Brevard Sinfonia takes you to A Night at the Movies. Led by Resident Conductor Ken Lam, they perform a program of familiar movie themes by British and American composers from films including Murder on the Orient Express, Psycho, Vertigo and Close Encounters of the Third Kind.

The students are in the spotlight when the Brevard Sinfonia performs an all-English program on the next Open Air Brevard. Comprised exclusively of college division students, the Sinfonia takes on a virtuosic program of Britten, Walton and Elgar with guest conductor Sarah Ioannides.
