The Spoleto Chamber Music Series features some of the world's most accomplished artists performing in the newly-renovated Memminger Auditorium in Charleston in 2008, blending splendid acoustics with the warm and uniquely congenial ambiance that is the hallmark of Spoleto USA's Charleston setting.

Violist and NPR Commentator Miles Hoffman (now the Dean of Converse College's Petrie School of Music in Spartanburg, SC), will host the series boasting what the Toronto Star has described as "Some of the finest young musicians on the continent in some of the freshest-sounding music-making to be heard anywhere." That includes the renowned Charles Wadsworth, Artistic Director for Chamber Music, with such festival favorites as the St. Lawrence String Quartet, pianists Stephen Prutsman and Pedja Muzijevic, tenor Paul Groves, cellist Alisa Weilerstein, and flutist Tara Helen O'Connor.
