WDAV’s live holiday broadcast features a program of beloved carols and holiday music illuminated by scripture readings. It’s been an annual tradition in the Charlotte area since 2008.

This performance from 2011 featured the chorus VOX, directed by David Tang, with baritone soloist George Washington, III and was accompanied by Adam Ward playing the Letourneau organ in the sanctuary of St. John’s Baptist Church. Also featured were guitarist Adam Whiting; harpist Christine Van Arsdale; pianist Matthew Davis; members of the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra; ragtime pianist Ethan Uslan; and soprano Abigail Haynes Lennox accompanied by Aaron Westman, baroque violin; Henry Lebedinsky, cittern; and Gail Ann Schroeder, viola da gamba.

A new edition of Charlotte Lessons and Carols from St. John’s will be performed on Tuesday, December 9, 2014 and will be available for national distribution via Content Depot beginning Monday, December 15.
